Credit Union Membership is a lifetime benefit. Once you become a Member you can remain a member even if you change jobs or move to another area of the country.
Savings Accounts
Horizon Credit Union is owned by the “Members”. In order to establish “Membership” you purchase one $5 share upon account opening that becomes your “Membership Share”.
Members use their share accounts as savings accounts. Dividends are accrued daily and paid quarterly. In addition to over the counter deposits, members can use payroll deduction and/or direct deposit. All deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

What is Mad Money? The Mad Money account is for our Members to use to manage their finances — and to make rainy days more bearable. It’s for when you want to save to pay an insurance premium… or for your daughter’s wedding… or for a vacation… or just any reason that you want a separate savings account.

Christmas Club
We call it a Christmas Club — but it doesn’t work like the ole time “Club Account”!
Our Christmas Club is treated as a separate savings account with dividends that accrue daily and are paid quarterly, instead of Members waiting until November to receive a check. At Horizon Credit Union, we don’t care if you shop in July!

Building & Strengthening Your Nest Egg
CDs & IRAs
We have 6-month, 12-month, 18-month and 24-month certificates of deposit for members who are looking for better returns on their money.
We have Traditional, Roth, and Educational IRAs available. We offer an accumulation account that has no term with dividends that post monthly. We also offer an 18-month IRA certificate for members who want a structured savings environment for their IRA savings.
